South Africa Team T20 World Cup 2016 Preview:
The Protease have been great in the T20 format of the game and they often surprise some of the sides a lot bigger in stature than them. This time around, they will be lead by Faf du Plessis who is quite an attacking player and has performed well in all formats for the South Africans.

South Africa have picked the best possible side and have all the firepower in their squad, be it batting or bowling. On paper, they look a really strong side and have very good chances of making it to the knockout stages of the tournament. They have strong batting line with the likes of du Plessis, AB de Villiers, Hashim Amla, Quinton de Kock, Farhan Behardien, JP Duminy, David Miller and Rilee Rossouw.
So many big names in just one side and that too for the all-important mega event of cricket. You can’t ask for more. South Africa have lately applied new strategies in the T20I format and, as they have a new captain, everything seems to be in right place. They have AB at the top now. Yes, he is opening the innings with Amla and has been playing wonderfully as well.
Amla is also in great knick and both these batsmen got fifties in their last T20I against England. Duminy, Rossouw and Miller will have a great role to play in the middle order. And, as de Villiers can keep wickets as well, they have the option whether to play de Kock or not. So, it all depends, what combination they would like to play right from the start of the tournament. But, whatever it is, they are certainly going to play some good cricket and challenge some of the favorites in this tournament.
On the bowling front, they have Kyle Abbott, Aaron Phangiso, David Weise and Kagiso Rabada who have all be performing really well lately. To make it even better, they have Dale Steyn back in the squad and he is fit and fine to make his side excel right from the word go.
Chris Morris is also there with his pacers as well. However, the most crucial role with the ball will be played by Imran Tahir. The legbreak googly bowler is the top wicket taking option for the Protease even in the past and he will have to play the same role in crunch moments of the game even now. He is definitely going to be their real hope.
