The 2nd biggest tournament of cricket after World Cup is just a month away as ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 2017 is scheduled to be started on 1st June, 2017 with the 1st game to be played between England and Bangladesh at Oval. Before entering directly in the event, teams will pass through a phase of warm-ups or practice matches.
All the 8 teams will play Champions Trophy wam up matches (practice games) that are scheduled to be started on 26th May, 2017. The defending champions India have been allotted with two practice matches by the International Cricket Council. India will face New Zealand on 28th May in their 1st warm up and Bangladesh in 2nd warm up match against Bangladesh. Pakistan will face two teams in the Warm up scenario, Bangladesh in their 1st match and Australia in the 2nd match will contenders towards Pakistani cricket team.
South Africa will not play the Warm up matches because of their busy schedule according to ICC FTP (Future Tour Planning ) dates, but rest of all the 7 teams will make their appearances in the Warm up matches.
According to the latest ICC ODI ranking updates on 1st May, 2017, South Africa team stands at top position and Australia at 2nd position and India has gradually lost their 1st position and they are at 3rd spot right now. So this combination is also a kind of reason to work hard on the strategies and creating a tough team players according to the pitch conditions of England.
